A swimming pool serves residents and a gym sits inside the building. A spa is part of the building too, and there is a roof or deck area. You can swim in the morning and unwind in the evening without leaving the block.
A children's play area suits a family, and a squash court gives an adult something to do on a hot afternoon. Cafes or restaurants share the building, so a coffee needs no trip. Parking for residents comes with it. That matters in a district where public parking is limited.

From the airport
Dubai International Airport (DXB) is 36.7 km from the tower, about 34 minutes by road without traffic. A taxi from arrivals does it in one go. It is one of the longer airport runs in the city, so a late arrival suits this tower better than a rushed early one.
Tram and metro
The Jumeirah Lakes Towers tram stop is 0.22 km from the tower, and DMCC metro station is 0.28 km away. That puts two rail links close to the door. With a tram, two metro stations, a beach walk and a canal promenade in one district, the Marina lets you do most days without a car.
Water taxis and ferries
The Dubai Marina ferry stop is 0.27 km from the tower, and Water taxi route BM3 runs from Dubai Marina Mall to Bluewaters Island, where Ain Dubai stands. The RTA ferry network also reaches Palm Jumeirah and Atlantis.
Roads and parking
Marina roads fill up on weekends and public holidays, and again during school hours, so those are the busiest times for drivers. Public parking is limited near the waterfront and the promenade, which makes the building's own parking more useful than you might expect.
The beach
Marina Beach is 1.05 km from the tower, so a swim in the sea is a short ride away. JBR Beach is the livelier of the two, with water sports, while Marina Beach is quieter. Kite Beach is the one for kitesurfing.
Walks and green space
Jumeirah Lakes Towers Park is 0.75 km from the tower, and Dubai Marina has few parks, so the Marina Walk and the promenade take the place of green space for jogging and cycling. Playgrounds are dotted through the district, and one grass strip on the way to the Zero Gravity beach club allows dogs on a lead.
The Marina Walk
The Marina Walk runs along the water for about seven kilometres, and most of the district's daily movement happens on foot along it. More than 600 boats and yachts are moored beside the promenade. You have plenty to look at on an evening stroll.
The mall
Dubai Marina Mall is 0.4 km from the tower, and it is linked to the JW Marriott Hotel Marina and has four levels and a children's play area. So you can fill a rainy afternoon there.
The grocery run
Marina Mini Mart is 0.03 km from the tower, which makes it the shop for water and milk on the first evening, and Life Pharmacy is 0.06 km away. Grocery stores of every size are on offer, from large supermarkets to small neighbourhood shops. Supermarkets, banks and pharmacies cluster toward the east end of the Marina.
Pharmacy and doctors
Avia Clinic is 0.3 km from the tower, and Emirates Hospital is 1.37 km away. Medcare Medical Centre and Emirates Hospitals Clinic both operate inside the Marina, with Al Zahra Hospital and Saudi German Hospital in Al Barsha nearby.
Fitness
TribeFit is 0.17 km from the tower, and that is on top of the gym in the building. Studio Fitness in JBR and Regime at Dubai Marina Yacht Club add other options, and squash and badminton courts are at Marina Promenade.
Schools
Emirates International School Meadows is 2.01 km from the tower; no schools sit inside Dubai Marina, but nurseries serve young children, and larger schools are reached by car, among them Dubai International Academy, GEMS Wellington and Dubai College. Families on a long stay should settle the school run before booking.
Eating out
Dining runs from casual cafes to fine dining with waterfront views. Fresh Fish Restaurant and Bob's Fish and Chips are among the seafood choices. The Scene and Carluccio's cover breakfast, and Seven Hot Pot Marina and Doner Market suit casual meals around the mall and the Marina Walk.
A wet evening
Reel Cinemas is 0.38 km from the tower, and 3D Blacklight Minigolf Dubai is 0.59 km away. That gives you two ways to fill an evening when the weather turns hot or the plans fall through.
Bluewaters Island
Meraas built Bluewaters Island on reclaimed land across from JBR, and it opened in November 2018. Madame Tussauds Dubai, the first in the Middle East, opened there in September 2021.
What changed recently
Ain Dubai on Bluewaters Island reopened to the public on 26 December 2024 after about two years closed, and tickets are sold on its official website.

How the Marina came about

A day in the building
A slow day can stay inside the building. You can swim in the morning and spend the afternoon in the spa. By late afternoon the roof or deck area suits a quiet hour, and a cafe on site covers the rest. The evening needs no planning at all.
Who it suits
A couple on a short break gets the pool and the spa. A family with children gets a play area in the building and a park nearby. Someone working remotely for a month gets a gym downstairs and a cafe in the block, which keeps the routine steady even when the schedule is full.
What to weigh
La Riviera Tower suits you if you want a full set of building facilities close to the tram and the beach. It suits you less if you want a quiet district, since the Marina is busy at weekends. The Point Tower and The Cascades are two other Marina towers with their own guides.
