Small voice in a skyline of towers
The Marina has over 200 residential towers around a man-made canal, so a block of this height reads as one of the quieter ones. The homes are studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. That sorts the stays into three shapes: a studio for one or two people, a one-bedroom for a couple settling in, a two-bedroom for a family that wants a second room with a door. A reception desk, security with CCTV cover and maintenance services at the building sit behind all three.
Landing at DXB, then the lobby
Dubai International Airport (DXB) is 38.2 km from the building, about 35 minutes by road without traffic. One taxi leg covers the whole run. If your flight lands late, the road is clear and a reception desk waits at the other end.
The first evening without a car
Security with CCTV cover watches the premises. A supermarket sits within the podium, retail units share the site and a cafe or restaurant sits alongside. The first evening is settled before you have unpacked a second bag, because water and bread are downstairs and so is a hot dinner.
For the bigger shop on the first morning, Al Maya Supermarket sits 0.16 km from the building, and Life Pharmacy is 0.09 km away for anything you forgot to pack.
A working month in the same chair
For a month of remote work the building covers the rhythm itself: the gym downstairs before the first call, then the supermarket and the cafes on site once the last one ends. Marina Diamond 2 suits you if you want a mid-height block with a supermarket downstairs. It suits you less if you want the tram at the door, since the nearest stop is 0.38 km away. That is the trade. The district has a cost of its own: peak-hour traffic, limited public parking and few entry and exit points, with noise near The Walk and The Beach.

The water bus and the canal ferry
You can step onto the water bus at the Marina Promenade stop, 0.61 km from the building. A marine water taxi route (BM1) links Marina Mall with Marina Walk, and route BM3 runs from Dubai Marina Mall to Bluewaters Island, where Ain Dubai stands. The RTA ferry route FR2 connects Marina Mall with Bluewaters and the Dubai Canal. Route FR4 runs on to Palm Jumeirah and Atlantis.
The tram and the Red Line
The Jumeirah Lakes Towers tram stop is 0.38 km from the building, and DMCC metro station is 0.42 km away. The tram stop connects with the DMCC station. The line has 11 stations running from JBR to Al Sufouh, so the beach is a tram ride.
Buses and the evening taxi
Seven bus routes serve Dubai Marina. The Big Bus stop sits 0.69 km from the building. Parking for residents comes with the building, but visitor parking is available and tight at peak hours. On busy evenings you do better with the tram or a taxi.
Doctors, a hospital and the school question
For anything serious, Emirates Hospital is 1.9 km from the building. Medcare Medical Centre and King's Marina Medical Centre are in the Marina, with Saudi German Hospital in Al Barsha nearby. There are no schools inside Dubai Marina, and Emirates International School Meadows is 2.2 km from the building, with International School of Choueifat also named nearby. Raffles Early Childhood Centre on Dubai Marina Walk follows the EYFS framework for children from 45 days old.
Pier 7 and a table on the water
Pier 7 stacks seven restaurants across seven floors at the water's edge on the marina. District 8 serves modern international cuisine. Fresh Fish Restaurant and Bob's Fish and Chips cover seafood. Buddha-Bar and the Address hotel serve dinner with marina views. Mama Zonia sits among the places to eat along the water.
The beach and the footbridge
The nearest beach lies 1.2 km from the building, and JBR Beach is the one most people reach by tram or on foot. Beach clubs such as Zero Gravity and Barasti operate along the Marina and JBR waterfront. A pedestrian bridge links Bluewaters Island to JBR. Ain Dubai, a 250 metre observation wheel, can be reached on foot from JBR.
The island across the water
Meraas built Bluewaters Island on reclaimed land across from JBR. The island opened in November 2018. Madame Tussauds Dubai, the first in the Middle East, opened there. Ain Dubai reopened to the public in December 2024 after about two years closed.
Boats along the Marina Walk
The Marina Walk has more than 600 boats and yachts moored along it. A long waterside promenade runs beside them. The XLine zip line and yacht rental are among the things to do, and squash and badminton courts are at Marina Promenade. Dubai Water Sport Academy offers banana boating and windsurfing near the Marina beach.
Four floors of mall and a Waitrose
Dubai Marina Mall is 0.96 km from the building, linked to the five-star JW Marriott Hotel Marina, and has four levels, about 140 stores and a children's play area. The mall holds a Waitrose for the weekly shop. Spinneys and Al Maya are other grocery options in the area. A film at Reel Cinemas, 0.94 km from the building, fills the evening if the afternoon runs long.
Marsa Dubai, before the towers
Emaar Properties developed Dubai Marina. The district is also known as Marsa Dubai. It began taking shape in 2003 around the canal that the towers now face.
