Building Guide · Anantara Residences

Anantara Residences, Palm Jumeirah

Anantara Residences (formally Anantara The Palm Dubai Residences) is a 463-unit residential development on the East Crescent of Palm Jumeirah, forming part of the Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort site. Developed by Seven Tides International and completed in 2013 across two towers, North and South, the building offers 449 one and two-bedroom apartments plus 14 penthouses, all sharing the wider resort’s Thai-inspired design and beach setting. For anyone renting a unit here short-term, that resort-grade setting is a genuine differentiator against ordinary Palm Jumeirah apartment stock.

About Anantara Residences

Anantara Residences is not the hotel next door: it is the residential component of the Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, split into North and South towers, developed by Seven Tides International and completed in 2013. It is also a distinct building from Royal Amwaj Residences further along the same stretch of Crescent, a separate Seven Tides development from the same era (see the FAQ below).

'Anantara' is a global hospitality brand (Minor Hotels) with resorts and residences worldwide; this guide covers only the Palm Jumeirah, Dubai building.

Location and Nearby Landmarks

The East Crescent places Anantara Residences on the outer arc of Palm Jumeirah, with direct Arabian Gulf views and Atlantis The Palm visible along the curve of the island.

For the full picture of Palm Jumeirah, from the Trunk to the Fronds and both Crescents, see Royale Stays' Palm Jumeirah area guide. Owners comparing nearby East Crescent buildings can also look at Royal Amwaj Residences, its immediate neighbor and closest comparable. Tiara Residences, elsewhere on Palm Jumeirah, is covered separately as well.

Unit Types

The 449 apartments are one and two-bedroom layouts, finished with wooden floors, walk-in wardrobes and en-suite bathrooms; the developer's own materials also describe furnished studio units within the wider mix. The 14 penthouses run to three, four and five bedrooms with private terraces and, in some cases, a sunken pool, and all units include terraces facing either the Arabian Gulf or the resort itself.

Amenities and Lifestyle

Because Anantara Residences sits within the resort's own site, owners and guests get resort-grade amenities without a hotel room rate attached.

That includes private beach access, temperature-controlled lagoon pools, an infinity pool and overflow pool, a fully-equipped gym, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, tennis courts, a kids' club, resident's lounge, 24-hour concierge and valet parking, plus access to the resort's restaurants and Anantara Spa.

Transportation & Access

Anantara Residences is a five to ten-minute drive from the Palm Monorail, and around 20 minutes from Dubai Marina and JBR by car. Most residents and guests use a car, taxi or ride-hailing app to reach the wider island and the mainland.

Royale Stays has not independently verified a stable achievable resale or rental price specific to Anantara Residences beyond the confirmed unit mix above, since portal-listed prices vary by exact unit, tower and view. Palm Jumeirah's East Crescent generally commands a premium over inland Dubai districts, and this building's resort-integrated setting is a genuine part of that premium for both sale and rental comparisons.

Anyone evaluating a unit here as an income property should treat portal-level pricing as a starting reference only and confirm actual achievable rates for the exact unit before committing. Owners weighing a specific unit's earning potential can run their own numbers through Royale Stays' Dubai property ROI calculator.

Airbnb and Short-Term Rental Potential

Because Anantara Residences forms part of the resort's own site, its holiday-home permit process is routed slightly differently than a standalone freehold tower.

As a hotel-integrated development (though not itself a Vida-class prohibited brand), the DTCM holiday-home permit here is typically arranged in coordination with the building's own management structure rather than a purely standalone owner application, the same routing that applies at other Dubai hotel-adjacent residences. This does not block short-term letting, it simply changes who initiates the paperwork.

Royale Stays manages Airbnb and short-term rental units across Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina, Downtown Dubai, JBR and Business Bay for a management fee from 15%, covering furnishing, photography, pricing, check-in, guest communications and maintenance coordination. Owners ready to move forward can submit their property for a free earnings estimate, or call +971566424239 to talk through what a unit here could realistically earn.

No building-specific occupancy or nightly-rate figures were independently confirmed for this guide; framing above reflects company policy on hotel/serviced-apartment permit routing, not a building-specific confirmed process.

Questions

Royal Amwaj Residences is a separate, adjacent 456-unit Seven Tides development further along the same stretch of Crescent. Both share the same developer and era, but are distinct addresses.
