About Golden Mile 8

Golden Mile 8 is one of ten numbered, interconnected mid-rise buildings that make up the Golden Mile complex, running along the western trunk of Palm Jumeirah above a shared retail and office podium, the Golden Mile Galleria. The complex was developed with IFA Hotels & Resorts as development partner, in a joint venture with Istithmar, under Nakheel's Palm Jumeirah masterplan. Golden Mile 8 itself is complete, with an anticipated completion date of August 2009 on record, and is described as either a 10 or 11-storey building depending on the source, one of several minor cross-source discrepancies that recur across these identical, interconnected towers.

Golden Mile 8 should not be confused with its numbered siblings, Golden Mile 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 10, all separately covered elsewhere on this site, or with Golden Mile 9. Each numbered building in the complex is a distinct structure on its own plot, with its own unit count and its own resale and rental market, sharing only the Golden Mile name and its shared retail podium. Golden Mile 8 holds 122 units in total, a figure from a single source and not independently corroborated elsewhere, though it is architecturally plausible given the complex's buildings are not uniform in size.

Location & Nearby Landmarks

Golden Mile 8 sits on the western trunk of Palm Jumeirah, within the wider Golden Mile complex and close to the business districts of Dubai Media City and Dubai Internet City. The trunk position gives residents and guests quicker road access than buildings further out on the Crescent or the Fronds, with Dubai Marina's restaurants and beaches around a 5-minute drive away, Dubai Mall roughly 19 minutes, Burj Al Arab around 15 minutes, and The Walk at JBR also around 15 minutes. Dubai International Airport (DXB) is roughly 27 minutes' drive, and the newer Al Maktoum International Airport around 36 minutes.

Golden Mile 8 joins Royale Stays' wider Palm Jumeirah Building Guide cluster alongside same-complex sibling Golden Mile 7, plus Club Vista Mare and Royal Bay by Azizi, other Palm Jumeirah buildings Royale Stays covers.

Unit Types

Golden Mile 8 offers a 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartment mix plus 3-bedroom penthouses, with sizes ranging from around 612 sq ft up to 3,932 sq ft. One-bedroom units come with two bathrooms, an open kitchen and a shaded balcony overlooking gardens or the sea. Two-bedroom units average around 1,806 sq ft, with two en-suite bedrooms, an open kitchen and a maid's room with its own bathroom. The 3-bedroom penthouses average around 3,932 sq ft, with three en-suite bedrooms, separate balconies for each bedroom and walk-in wardrobes.

Amenities

Residents and guests have access to a communal swimming pool, gym, sauna and steam room, a games room and a kids' play area, plus 24-hour concierge and front-desk service, CCTV and security staff, high-speed elevators, and secure basement parking with allocated resident spaces. Golden Mile 8 is pet-friendly. The Golden Mile Galleria beneath the wider complex brings a grocery store, banks, pharmacies, restaurants and shops within easy reach.

Transportation & Access

Palm Jumeirah has no Dubai Metro station of its own, so most residents and guests rely on private car, taxi or ride-hailing apps like Careem. Golden Mile 8's trunk-side position is a practical advantage here, sitting closer to the mainland connection than buildings further out on the Crescent or Fronds. Dubai Marina is roughly a 5-minute drive, Dubai Mall around 19 minutes, Burj Al Arab and The Walk at JBR both around 15 minutes, and Dubai International Airport (DXB) roughly 27 minutes.

Royale Stays already manages a 3-bedroom unit inside Golden Mile 8 itself, one of four properties feeding the Palm Jumeirah 3-bedroom blended average of roughly AED 1,696 a night at around 88 percent occupancy (about AED 46,565 a month). No Golden Mile 8-exclusive breakout figure exists separate from that blended average. For other unit types, the wider Palm Jumeirah averages are: 2-bedroom units around AED 1,423 a night, and 1-bedroom units around AED 706 a night, both at similar occupancy.

Airbnb / Short-Term Rental Income Potential

Golden Mile 8 already has real, confirmed short-term letting activity: a live short-stay listing for a 2-bedroom unit was found under this exact building's name during research, and Royale Stays itself currently manages a 3-bedroom unit inside Golden Mile 8 as part of its Palm Jumeirah portfolio. This is stronger evidence than a general area signal, professionally managed short-term letting is already an active, proven strategy inside this specific building.

As with other Palm Jumeirah buildings developed with a hospitality-sector partner, permit arrangements can in some cases be routed through the building's management structure. Royale Stays handles furnishing, photography, pricing, check-in, guest communications and maintenance from a fee starting from 15%.

Royale Stays' Golden Mile 8 unit figures reflect the company's own current portfolio record as of this guide's research, blended with three other Palm Jumeirah 3-bedroom properties since no Golden Mile 8-exclusive breakout exists.
